A New Chapter Upstairs: 2nd Floor Renovation Blog

The renovation is progressing smoothly. Several office areas have been framed, including the administrative offices, technical services department, and staff room.
There was a nice article about the building project in the November 30, 2016 Barrington Times that covered many aspects of the project. The article emphasized how pleased we are with the work of our contractor, ADS.
We are in the process of choosing furnishings and finishings. The choices we are selecting are light and cheerful to give a sense of welcome and openness, especially to the children’s room.
The library director meets weekly with the contractor, the architect, and the library’s construction manager to review the progress of the work, approve any change orders and requests for payment, and answer questions that may have come up during the work.
