Amy York is leaving her Connecticut home soon for her freshman year of college. Before she goes, her father imparts some wisdom on selecting the perfect man as he doesn’t want anything to stand in the way of her pursuing her dream as a journalist. He explains a whimsical sorting of utensils to guide her to choose the right partner - the steak knife.  Amy and her college friendshave fun navigating their way through their dating experience of spoons, forks and the ever so desirable, knife. It turns out the spoons are the nerdy guys. Like an actual spoon, they don’t poke or have a rough edge. The forks are the guys you need to be leery of. They will make you think you are special, and they will end up hurting you. On the other hand, the knife is the guy you want. They have an edge and can be sharp when needed and possess strength. This classification gets Amy and her friends through breakups, relationships that go sour, or just to size someone up at a party. In fact, this utensil classification sees them through college as well as life afterwards. A quirky read that takes you back to the 80’s and 90’s, Forks, Knives and Spoons will leave you looking at the men in your life a little differently.
