Computer Basics, Part 1: Introduction to the Computer - Learn about and how to use a computer, including the desktop, keyboard, and mouse/touchpad. This is an introductory class for beginners with minimal or no computer experience. Registration is recommended. Register below, or contact the Reference Desk at 401-247-1920 x2. If you choose to bring your laptop, please include your computer's operating system in the form below.

Microsoft Excel Basics

Learn the main functions by creating a basic budget spreadsheet with charts and formulas. If time permits, we will learn about conditional formatting, freezing rows, and using tables. Basic computer skills are necessary for this class. Please note: We will be using Microsoft Excel 2016.

Register for either Tuesday, September 18 at 7 pm OR Thursday, September 20 at 10 am.

Learn how to navigate, customize, and be able to use your iPhone and/or iPad in whatever capacity you'd like. Bring your fully-charged device, Apple ID and password, and questions.

Register for either Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at 10 am OR Thursday, July 26 at 6:30 pm.

This tech class is being taught twice in July: a morning and an evening class. Please register for one option per class to allow more people to attend. Sign up for a Tech Help Desk session if you wish to have additional one-on-one instruction.

Learn the basics of Facebook's privacy and security settings, including passwords, timeline and tagging, blocking, and visibility, on Thursday, July 19 at 6:30 pm. This class is for active Facebook users. It is recommended to create a Facebook account prior to attending this class. To create a Facebook account, you need an active and valid email account.
