Book Stills: A Virtual Photo Challenge
Using household or found items ONLY, create a scene from a book or book title. It can be a parody or a true reflection. Please include the title of your book somewhere in the photo along with the hashtag #BookStills. Send us your photo via Facebook Messenger or email Tanya@barringtonlibrary.org by Friday, April 17.
Visual Effects and Editing with local teen filmmaker, Andrew Gerstenblatt. Learn Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, two industry-standard programs used for film making, video editing, visual effects, and music videos help filmmakers do their jobs, as well as other related programs, such as iMovie, Final Cut Pro, and AVID. We'll discuss some basics: cutting, transitions, dialogue and sound editing, rendering, media organizing etc. We'll also get to some of the "fun stuff:" laser beams, light sabers, explosions, lens flares, LUTs, title design, and magic powers.
Are you interested in Robotics? Barrington High School Robotics Club will be in the teen room offering a workshop for aspiring engineers. Learn the basics. Check out their robot made for the FTC challenge. Snacks will be provided (while supplies last!)
Try out one of the many awesome mechanical machines that will be on hand. Typing has never been this fun!
