Virtual Two-Part Film Workshop with Andrew Gerstenblatt - Making a Short Film

How To Make A Movie During A Pandemic - Yes, it can be done. Filmmaking is all about innovation; the art and science of motion pictures has evolved in a way no other medium has. First, we started in black and white. Then, we added sound. Then, we added color. Later on, we developed visual effects, green screens, and motion capture. Now, we are tasked with making films while no longer in the same location. To be a filmmaker is to be able to adapt to new circumstances. So…how do we even begin to take on such a feat? I’m glad you asked.

Welcome to The 10th Annual Hunger Games Challenge!

Barrington Public Library is looking to sponsor five tributes! Will it be you? Create a costume for your imagined district. The chosen ones will receive a brand new copy of the Hunger Games Prequel. How will you receive it? That is for us to know and for you to find out. Please fill out the form below by May 15. Winning entries will be based on creativity and originality. Selected tributes will be notified on May 19 with further instructions.
