Lunch & Learn: Hearing Loss & Hearing Loops

For those dealing with hearing loss, come and learn about the use of assistive technology in public spaces. Barrington Public Library, along with over a dozen other Rhode Island locations now have hearing loop systems, with more locations to come. Learn about this hearing loop technology effort and more with a talk led by David Abell.

David Abell is an advocate for hearing assistive technology and other ways of enhancing the hearing experience of the deaf and hard of hearing. He serves on the Technology Committee of the Rhode Island Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and is the Hearing Loop Advocate for the Rhode Island State Office of the Hearing Loss Association of America. He’s a retired trusts and estates lawyer.
