WinterNight Concert with Ken Bonfield

A concert for the winter solstice.

Since 1998 -- when Bonfield released his seasonal album WinterNight -- Ken Bonfield has presented seasonal concerts of guitar instrumentals, drawn from traditional arrangements to modern compositions inspired by the Winter Solstice. These well-received concerts feature traditional British Isles, Celtic, American folk and original music performed on custom-built harp, baritone, and 6-string guitars: music perfect for the season.

Fingerstyle Guitarist, Ken Bonfield has performed throughout the United States for more than 25 years. Based in Gloucester, Massachusetts, Bonfield is a regular at guitar festivals and has released seven albums. His latest, Legacy, is a solo effort that focuses on harp and baritone guitars, with several new arrangements of original tunes Bonfield recorded on earlier albums. Today his sophisticated Americana compositions feature a solid dose of Celtic, classical, and traditional folk and blues influences best described as American Baroque.
