Veterans Writing Group Session 2

Every veteran has a story. Barrington Public Library’s Veterans Writing Group is open to all veterans, whether you are a beginning writer or have writing experience. We will cover the basics of writing, progressing to writing prompts in the form of written passages, photos, and other materials. Veterans may share their work or they may choose to keep their writing private. 

The group is led by writer and librarian, Kathryn, Kulpa and librarian Jane Granatino. Session 2 meeting dates are as follows from 6:30 to 8 pm:

  • Mon, Mar 9

This writing group is free and open to those who served in one of the branches of the military. Space is limited, register using the form below or by phone at 401-247-1920 x2. All materials will be provided.

Kathryn Kulpa was a winner of the Vella Chapbook Contest for her flash chapbook Girls on Film(Paper Nautilus) and received the First Series Award in Short Fiction for her story collection Pleasant Drugs (Mid-List Press). Her work has appeared in Jellyfish Review, Monkeybicycle, Smokelong Quarterly, and Evansville Review, and she serves as flash fiction editor for Cleaver magazine.Kathryn leads writing workshops in public libraries throughout Rhode Island and has been a visiting writer at Wheaton College. She was born in a small state, and she writes short stories.
