Virtual Film Chat with Doug: Fritz Lang's Metropolis

Join librarian Doug Swiszcz on Zoom at 11 am on Wed, April 29 for a virtual film chat about Fritz Lang's Metropolis (1927, 148 minutes, silent, in black and white). Director Lang's pioneering science fiction film about authoritarianism and revolt in a futuristic industrialized city retains its power through its set design, special effects and visual storytelling. It is available to stream via the library's subscription to Kanopy.

We encourage you to watch the film prior to the chat. Doug will share some of his vast movie knowledge with us and then open the space up for discussion.

HOW DO I VIEW THE FILM?
