Jessica's Going Away Party

Our Community Engagement Librarian, Jessica D’Avanza, will be leaving the Library after nine years of devoted service to the Barrington community.

Many of you know Jessica as the person you call when you want to book an event at the library, the organizer of our ever-popular Cookbook Club, or as the person who brings in exceptional adult programs, but she is so much more.

Jessica has been instrumental in many positive changes; you cannot look around the library without seeing something she has touched and improved!  A brief list of her accomplishments includes spearheading our marketing and branding campaigns, drafting new policies, creating the Friends of BPL’s newsletter, initiating the Trustees’ Professional Development Fund, and tirelessly working with community organizations.

It should be noted that Jessica has also touched all Rhode Island libraries and beyond with her committee work in the Ocean State Libraries Consortium and professional organizations throughout New England.

We invite you to celebrate Jessica’s time at the library and wish her well as she goes on to new ventures in a reception in the Collis Family Gallery on Monday, November 1, from 4 pm - 7 pm.

Event Location:
Collis Family Gallery A (Second Floor)
