Barrington Public Library is excited to announce the newest addition to our lineup of amazing services, our new Library of Cats!
Thinking about getting a pet but not sure if a cat will do? Why not check one out from the library first! Our Library of Cats allows you to test drive a wide variety of cats to see whether adding a new feline family member is right for you.
Be sure to check the “cat-alog” to see what breeds and ages are available for check out.
Loan period is 7 days. No renewals.
Your Cat Kit includes:
- 7 days worth of cat food (dry only, if your cat prefers wet that must be supplied on your own)
- 2 cat toys
- Cat backpack for easy transportation to and from the library
Additional supplies such as cat trees, additional toys, and litter boxes may be checked out from The Library of Things. All cats are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccines and medications.
Please note: the library is not responsible for damage to household items or bodily injury caused by cats during the duration of your check-out. All cats must be returned to the Circulation Desk during regular library hours. Do NOT leave cats in the book drop!
