Reading in the Kitchen: A Cookbook Club

A book club for those who like to read cookbooks and enjoy a community meal.

The group meets monthly on the third Monday night of the month from 6:30 to 8 pm. Participants are asked to bring a dish to share from that month’s cookbook and their own table setting. Registration is required. Space is limited.

RI Mobile Maker Lab

Stop by anytime between 10 am and 3 pm and hop on the RI Mobile Maker Lab! Equipped with 3D printers, CNC routers, vinyl cutters and more! The Lab will be parked on the side of the Library in the Tap-In parking lot. 

Jazz on Film: A 3-Week Short Course

Jazz on Film is a new short course for fans of music and film to explore these mediums in-depth with Dr. Tom Shaker, a retired professor who has focused his career on music and pop culture. This three-week course will take place on Tuesdays, January 29, Feb 5 and Feb 12 from 4 to 6:30 pm. Free and open to all. Space is limited. Register by phone or online using the form below.

Great Decisions: A Foreign Policy Discussion Group

Great Decisions is a national, civic-education program from the Foreign Policy Association that inspires participants to learn about the world. The group discussion is co-led by John Braica and Ruth Arellana. Participants will receive a briefing booklet with twice-monthly readings. Each meeting begins with a viewing of a short film from the Foreign Policy Association.

It's Time We Talk Kick-Off Event

Join community partners as we kick-off 2019 with a series of discussions and community events promoting emotional well-being as part of the It's Time We Talk series. This kick-off event features mental health superstar, Dr. Barbara Van Dahlen along with a community resource fair. Refreshments will be served.

Chair Yoga

This gentle yoga class will help improve your flexibility and body awareness and is peformed from a chair. Meets weekly.

Free for Barrington residents. Registration is required through the Senior Center/Center for Adult Enrichment at 401-247-1926.
