Museum Passes

Due to the coronavirus, most museums and institutions have temporarily closed. We will do our best to update each museum pass as we learn of any reopening. We recommend you contacting the museum or institution before planning your visit.

Barrington Public Library offers free or reduced admission to museums and cultural attractions around New England thanks to the generosity of the Friends of Barrington Public Library.

Procedure for Museum Pass Use

  • Have a valid Ocean State Libraries library card to reserve a museum pass
  • Passes may be reserved up to two weeks in advance either by person, by phone or through the library website
  • Each family is allowed no more than two (2) different passes per week during vacation weeks and holiday periods
  • Each family is allowed to check out no more than two (2) passes on any given day
  • Returnable passes are due back to the Library by 9 am the day after use
  • A fine of $5 per day is placed on your library card for overdue returnable passes
  • Patrons are responsible for replacement of lost passes; cost varies for each museum
  • Museum hours vary or change without notice.

Audubon Education Center is open mid-April thru mid-October, 9 am to 5 pm daily; mid-October thru mid-April (open holidays and school vacations), Wed thru Sat, 9 am to 5 pm & Sun 12 pm to 5 pm.
Without Pass: Adult $6, Children ages 4-12 $4
With Pass: Admission free for 2 adults and 4 children under 18 years old

The Mansion is open April 1 through October 15, Tuesday thru Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm, and most Monday holidays, (closed on July 4). The mansion occasionally closes at 3 pm for special events.

The Gardens & Grounds: Year-round Sunday thru Thursday 11 am to 5 pm, Friday & Saturday 11 am to 8 pm. The grounds & gardens occasionally close early for special events.

Without Pass: $32 per Family (2 adults, 2 youth); $15 Adults; $14 Seniors; $11 Military & Students; $6 Children ages 6-17; Free under age 5
With Pass:
Admits up to 6 people at $7 for adults, $2 for youth ages 6-17

Museum Policy: Children younger than 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Adults unaccompanied by children must leave proper photo identification at the Admissions Desk. Examples: State Driver’s License or Passport.

With Pass: $5 admission, limit of two $5 admissions per pass

Open every day from 11 am-5 pm, except Tuesdays, and on Thursday the museum stays open until 9 pm; the last admission of the day will be a half hour before closing.
Closed: New Year's Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve (open until 3 pm), Christmas, and Patriots' Day. Open: MLK Day, Presidents Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day.

Without pass: $15 Adults; $12 Seniors; $5 College students with ID; free under age 18, U.S. Military and their families and anyone named Isabella.

With pass: provides up to four (4) people with $5 admission per person. Children under the age of 18 are admitted free. A few times a year the Museum opens its doors to the public at no charge. On those days, tickets are distributed to all visitors (including museum pass-holders) until the Museum capacity for the entire day is reached. Patrons are advised to plan accordingly as these days are unusually busy, and call ahead at 617-566-1401.

Closed: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and Staff Appreciation Day (Sept 6). The Museum also closes at 2 pm on Thanksgiving Eve and Christmas Eve.

Mystic Aquarium is open daily, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The mission of this non-profit World War II Foundation is to produce educational films and create initiatives recognizing the bravery and enormous contributions made by the veterans and survivors of World War II, including education and preservation of materials honoring individual or collective triumphs during WWII.

The Museum is located at 344 Main Street in Wakefield, RI and is open Wed-Fri 10am-2pm and Sat 9am-1pm. Admission is $5 per adult (regularly $15) and children 12 and under are free. WWII veterans are also free.
