Tech Help Desk

Barrington Public Library offers tech help to the community through monthly computer classes and a weekly Tech Help Desk.

Tech Help Desk is open Tuesdays from 2 to 3:30 pm and Wednesdays from 2 to 3 pm by appointment. It is staffed by Digital Services Librarian Ben Hanley.

  • eReaders, smartphones & tablet devices
  • Windows OS & Mac OS
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Searching the internet
  • Resizing or printing pictures
  • Email
  • Uploading a resume
  • Social Media websites & apps

Book your 30-minute session at Tech Help Desk up to one month in advance, or contact 401-247-1920 x2.

One appointment per day is allowed. Please bring all relevant passwords to access the accounts you need help with. Please bring your media device if you need help with it.

Please note: We do not troubleshoot or fix malfunctioning devices,  take apart or replace physical parts on a device, handle viruses or virus software, download and/or install hardware, or participate in credit card transactions.
