SciFi Fantasy Book Club w/snacks!

New members welcome! Join us for a  monthly book club where we discuss the latest and/or greatest in Sci Fi & Fantasy over yummy snacks.  This month's choice is The Assasination of Brangwain Spurge by M.T. Anderson and Eugene Yelchin. Describes as " an anarchic, outlandish, and deeply political saga of warring elf and goblin kingdoms. ..Place a hold here and join us!

Ike's Mystery Man Author Reception & Book Talk

Join us for an author reception with apple cider and cookies from 6 to 6:30 pm and an author talk at 6:30 pm. Books will be for sale by Inkfish Books and the author will be signing copies.

Due to the coronavirus, Barrington Public Library is postponing tonight’s author event with Elizabeth Rush that was scheduled for 6:30 pm, including the livestream. A new date has not been set, but will be announced later this year.

The White Mountain: Rediscovering Mount Washington's Hidden Culture Author Talk

Over the course of a calendar year, journalist Dan Szczesny explored the history and mystique of New England's tallest mountain in his book, The White Mountain: Rediscovering Mount Washington's Hidden Culture (published by Hobblebush Books, 2018). But Mount Washington is more than just a 6,288-foot rock pile; the mountain is the cultural soul of climbers, hikers, and tourists from around the world looking to test their mettle against some of the most extreme conditions in return for a chance to be inspired by some of the most intense natural beauty.

Reading in the Kitchen: A Cookbook Club

A book club for those who like to read cookbooks and enjoy a community meal.

The group meets monthly on the third Monday night of the month from 6:30 to 8 pm. Participants are asked to bring a dish to share from that month’s cookbook and their own table setting. 

Registration is required. Space is limited.
