Community Story Walk

Join Barrington Public Library and twelve local Barrington businesses for our first Community Story Walk!

From July 6 - August 20, twelve unique story boards containing a passage from books fitting our Summer Reading Theme "Tails & Tales" will be displayed in the front windows or community bulletin boards of some of your favorite local businesses. Grab a map from the library or one of the participating businesses (or download a copy) and try to visit all twelve of the locations! All participating businesses are within walking distance from the library in Downtown Barrington and can easily all be visited within an afternoon.

Keep track of the locations you visit and the passages you read on the map. Visit all twelve and earn FIVE extra tickets in Beanstack that you can use to enter our gift card drawings! Find out more about the Adult Summer Reading Program here.

As you visit our story boards, please share photos on social media using the hashtag #BPLCommunityStoryWalk and #BPLSummerReading

This Community Story Walk is part of our greater Adult Summer Reading program and has been designed for adults, but teens and families are welcome to participate as well!
